POSITION TYPE: Nurse Manager Outpatient Surgery

SHIFT: Mixed (Rotating Weekends)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time Permanent
A leading healthcare facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead its Outpatient Surgery department. This role carries 24-hour responsibility for the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care within the unit.
The Nurse Manager will also oversee daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. In collaboration with senior leadership, the Nurse Manager will assist with performance improvement initiatives, implementation of hospital policies, and budgetary oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for the outpatient surgical services team.
- Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance are met consistently.
- Support staff development and foster a culture of clinical excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient flow and operational efficiency.
- Support financial stewardship by monitoring and managing department resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent acute care leadership experience in Surgical Services.
- 3–5 years of clinical experience in the OR or other surgical settings.
- Prior management experience strongly preferred.
- Cardiovascular surgical experience is a plus.
