Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse – ICU RN

Job Description:
We are currently in need of a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-performing team in a 16-bed unit. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. As an ICU RN, you will care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient conditions and prioritize care needs.
- Monitor and respond to critical changes in patients’ vital signs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and procedures.
- Advocate for patients, ensuring safety and dignity at every stage of care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience in an acute care setting required
- Active Florida RN license or a compact state RN license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or Diploma); BSN preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire
Additional Details:
- Unit Size: 16 beds
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2, depending on acuity
